Clay and J

In the land of red flaking stone, a religious, town small community called Chimayo an epidemic of addiction arises. A persona evolves in many of its victims. The mirrored alter ego of a gentleman is the artists focus as outlandish entities carry on thier lives in the surroundings. An Oasis lingers in the background of the main character representing the nirvana of his addiction.  
The artist uses mixed media to make this painting. It is composed of mainly  acrylics but also local clay from Chimayo,Nm in the multidimentional landscape and hints of ash in the cigarette cherry.
